Here we are with the family that is recieving one of the two homes. We constructed these two home yesterday with the help of the people in the village and all did go very well. It was a very long day and I think we all got some kind of sun burn. We will post more pictures once we have a better internet connections. Again thanks to all of you who supported us to make this happen for the two families, they real appreciated what was done for them.

So things have been going well. We haven't had great internet connection and this is why we haven't posted more. But here's an update on life in Honduras thus far. We have had six medical brigades and have seen close to, if not more than 1000 people. We have had loads of medications to help the people which has been so amazing. And everyone has been so grateful. So many smiling faces and hugs as we all offer care to the people. Not to mention all the kids who light up when they get a little toy and a toothbrush, how proud and happy they are.
It has also been awesome to watch the relationships blossom among the girls we are working with and the team. It is amazing to see how little the language barrier affects the love we are able to share with each other. However we have spent the few spare minutes learning Spanish and English together, which brings with it much laughter and bonding as we laugh at the way we try and say words. It has been wonderful to share in those moments throughout the week.
We have also had some amazing weather to be working in. Lots of sun shine to keep up hot and happy.
We thank you all for reading and thinking of us as we continue to offer care. We are getting ready now to being a day of house building as we build houses for two families in Bona Fe.

Yesterday we did meet the families that we are constructing the home for. It was a very touching moment for all of us and we will be starting the constructing later next week. We have done two full day s of medical brigade and saw well over 450 people so far. The group is working together very well and our Honduras partners are of great help and taking care of us extremely well. More to come stay tune!!

Dear friends, supporters
Well we will be in Honduras in about 24 hours. We would like to say thank you to all of you for your generous support and words of encouragement. These missions can only happen with the support of many people like you. This will be our 29 mission/trip to Honduras in the past 9 years. I'm pleased to say it is looking like one of the best one so far. We have a big amount of medicines, vitamins and medical supplies (and a few toys). We have packed about 1200pounds of supplies (550 Kg).
This year we have raised enough money to construct two homes for two families that are living in very poor condition at this time. We also have enough vitamins for a full year for all the children at the orphanage/day care in Jesus De Otoro, plus we will also be able to buy lots of food for them from local farmers and stores in that region. The amount of medicine we with us will allow us to care for well over 1000 patients.
Again this mission has been made possible because of all of our supporters here at home and as far as Switzerland!
-Stamford United Church, Niagara Falls -The Rotary International St. Catharines, Lakeshore and Niagara Falls – Sunrise -Kiwanis Niagara Falls -Niagara Air Bus Niagara Falls -American Airlines Toronto -Natural Factors Canada -Nature’s Fair Canada -Seroyal Canada -Canadian National railway -Northcity Insurance -Chippawa Presbyterian Men breakfast club -EMP Canada -Alison’s Sports -Revera Home Health Services -McLeod Dental -Sauer’s Pharmacy and last but not least families and friends!
Again we can assure you that the people of Honduras are extremely appreciative for what you have done and are doing for them. They always asked me "how can I do so much for them?" My reply is always "I am privileged to share with you what was given to Healthy Horizons, the donors are the heroes and without them not much could be done"
From our hearts to yours, thank you!
Sharon, Steve Malone and the March 2012 team!
